A pony fifty years old?! Isn't this very very unusual? He must have had good care to be that old.

I have never heard of a pony that old before and I was a bit sceptical when my brother first told me, but the person who owns him confirmed that it was true. She learned to ride on him as a child, and she is about the same age as the horse. He looks old, but he seems happy enough. I think being loved and being owned by the same family for almost all of his life has been very good for him.

he age of the pony was 50 years old? I know that the age of a dog can go around 15 or 20 yrs. The age of a cat is different. But a horses lifespan is longer than that. You always have exceptions to the rule. Someplaces the horses live every long lives. They have been well cared for and even in their old age are healthy. It could be breeding, or the lack of it, that keeps them alive so long.

I'm gobsmacked to hear that a pony reached 50. I guess not many people
consider that as a potential life span when they first get a young animal.
